I provide specialist safeguarding consultancy to organisations that work with children and young people. My background spans frontline social work, the LADO function, and police detective work, and I currently work at a senior level within statutory children's services. When I advise you, I'm drawing on direct, current experience of the systems your organisation needs to navigate. I complement, not replace HR, the LADO, social care, the police, or other statutory processes.

Safeguarding SupervisionReflective supervision for DSLs, managers and safeguarding leads, focused on the demands of the role as much as the cases within it. Most people in this role have somewhere to go for a live concern, LADO, social care, the duty line, but rarely have a dedicated space to reflect on what they're carrying. Sessions draw on case reflection, professional curiosity and defensible decision making, with space for the personal resilience that sustained safeguarding practice requires. Recent, well publicised failures in safeguarding practice have often involved concerns that were raised but not escalated quickly enough. Supervision gives safeguarding leads a regular space to test their thinking, so warning signs are less likely to be minimised or missed.Safeguarding Advice & SupportI work with organisations to help them think clearly when a safeguarding concern arises, whether that involves a member of staff, a volunteer, or a child in their setting. I can help you understand thresholds, work through your options, and support you in preparing for or engaging with statutory processes, including referrals to the LADO, social care or the police.
